At the the top of the Review Page, there are five different viewing options to review results. We will briefly discuss each option.

  1. SCORE DISTRIBUTION: The Score Distribution tab auto populates a visual representation of the score distribution. Basic descriptive statistics (e.g., Number of Submissions, Low Score, High Score, Average Score, and Standard Deviation) are presented below the distribution graph. Instructors can customize the view at the bottom of the screen by Score Adjustments (Before or After) and Number of Attempts (Last Attempt or Highest Score). Any grading adjustments will be automatically updated in the score distribution.

  2. MATRIX: The Matrix tab lists each student by row in the first column. Each remaining column represents an assessment question (e.g., Question 1, Question 2, etc.) There is a hyperlink to each student and question title if you would like to drill down for more information. The intersection of the row and column will have the student's score on the question over the total points possible (e.g. 2/4). For those instructors that are using EXAMIND as a standalone product at the bottom of the Matrix page is a button to download student results that can then be imported into your Learning Management System (LMS).

  3. BY STUDENT: The By Student tab lists all students, the date and time started, the time taken to complete the assessment, and the student's score. There is a hyperlink on each student's name. If you click on the hyperlink it will open the student's assessment and you can review the student's entire assessment.

  4. BY INSTRUCTOR: If the instructor or anyone with instructor level access (e.g., Teaching Assistants) takes the assessment their results will show up in the By Instructor page and will not be included in the assessment statistics (Score Distribution). If instructors would like to take the assessment to preview the student experience or just double check that the assessment is set up as intended they can sign in to the student platform and take the assessment (assuming the instructor has set up an availably window to take the assessment). Alternatively, instructors can take the exam as a student directly from the LTI instructor page which is accessed when the instructor enters EXAMIND through their LMS deep link.

  5. BY QUESTION: The By Question tab allows professors to see the response of each student by question. The By Question tab makes it easier for instructors to manually grade the same question by student all at the same time rather than switching between different sections.

Step 4: Make Grading Adjustments

After reviewing your assessment results you may want to make grading adjustments or grade items that were not auto graded (i.e., short-answer questions). To make grading adjustments refer to our step-by-step guide on How to Make Grading Adjustments.
